This is probably the easiest way to enjoy bread while on a keto diet. 90-second keto bread requires only five ingredients and 90 seconds of cooking time in the microwave. When done, you can use it to create sandwiches, burgers, or whatever comes to mind.

The flavor of this bread is very similar to French toast which makes it a perfect breakfast option for when you’re in a hurry. Simply serve the 90-second bread with some cooked bacon, smoked salmon, fried eggs or even plain Greek yogurt.

Another great idea for those mornings when you do have some extra time to prepare a delicious breakfast is to use the bread as a base for grilled cheese sandwiches or even burgers.

Simply melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium-low heat and add the bread. Cook until nicely golden brown on both sides. Add a slice of cheddar or some other cheese and cover with another ‘slice’ of 90-second bread.

Cook the sandwich until the cheese has completely melted and the sandwich is nice and crispy. You can also briefly toast the bread in the pan and use it to make sandwiches. Adding on sliced turkey or ham, lettuce, cheese, and your favorite keto-friendly sauces.

  • 1 tbsp butter (grass fed when possible)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt


  • Add butter to a microwave-safe dish and microwave until melted. Remove from the microwave oven and cool to room temperature.
  • Now, add one egg, almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix all well and microwave for 90 seconds. 
  • When done, cool for a while. Loosen the edges with a sharp paring knife and remove the bread from the dish. Serve immediately.
